Artist's Comments
First I'd like to say that scanners are the spawn of SATAN!!! Or at least mine is. It doesn't like color and it doesn't like colored pencil or watercolor. I'm gonna have to start amping up the contrast if I even want the scan to look halfway decent it seems.
Now that that's out of the way... This critter is Nyliir, my adoption from the ShinExchange. Since I don't have any good references for any OC's and I'm too lazy to draw any, I normally just adopt when I can. Drawing other people's characters really seem to teach me more than just doodling my own some times. Anywho, this character belongs to  . She's a playful little drake and when I saw on her reference that she had a second mouth on her tail, this idea immediately popped into my head. When you have more than you need of one thing, chances are there might be a little competition between the two. So here are Nyliir and her tail arguing with each other. Maybe that's a little lame...but I liked it!I probably messed up her markings a bit and I went a little too happy go lucky with the grey so her underbelly isn't as white as it should be. This picture was done with a water color base and then prisma colored pencil on top. Inked in micron pen and watercolor. I really hope you like it! Art me Character |
